In general:
As a rule, towing of trucks is carried out using the partial loading method (up to 60 tons). This method is effective when ordinary towing cannot be used for various reasons. In this case, the front or rear part of the vehicle is lifted above the road using a winch or spectacle lift. This method allows a loaded vehicle to be transported without the risk of damaging the steering system, with locked wheels, with an automatic transmission, as well as with other damage. During partial loading, the truck tow truck "relieves" the vehicle's frame and suspension, which minimizes the likelihood of damage and improves the accident safety of the process. In especially difficult cases, towing by the full loading method is used (up to 18 tons). For this, a tow truck for freight vehicles with a sliding platform and a hydraulic winch is used, allowing the vehicle to be loaded onto the platform. This method can be applied even in serious accidents. Equipped with winches with a pulling force of up to 50 tons, the truck tow truck is indispensable in those cases when heavy equipment ends up in a ditch, overturned, etc.
